That candle 'smelt' of fish

WELL, WELL, WELL! - ANOTHER GAUCI CANDLE FACT!

There is a fish named the Candlefish!

Also known as Smelt, it has a silvery skin. It gets it name from the Alaskan Indians. Apparently, they used to dry this very oily fish and used a piece of bark for a wick which they pushed through the bottom of the fish. The oil would ensure the bark would burn for a long time. I suppose the fragrance would smell a little fishy! I can't see that being high (excuse the pun) on the list of requests for bespoke scents we get here at Gauci Organic Candles.

By all accounts, the Candlefish are very tasty and quite oily - rich in Omega 3 no doubt.
